Hartech and Ingersoll designed a 2-container solution for this application. One container houses the operator, supply materials and ancillary equipment. The second container houses the 3D gantry style printer with CNC machining capability. This solution will allow the Army Corp of Engineers to print and machine a part that measures 15 feet in length, 3 feet in width, and 2 feet in height.
The Army Corp of Engineers needed a forward deployable solution that would enable them to 3D print a large polymer part. The solution needed to be housed in standard size military containers. The part needed to be as large as possible 2-container needed to me fully machined inside the same solution.
